On the 15th June at City Hall in Cardiff we celebrated the achievements of exceptional learners, families, employers and community projects at our Inspire! Adult Learning Awards. There were a total of 14 awards including the all-important overall Inspire! Learner of the Year.

Many of the inspirational stories demonstrate real life experiences of individuals who have gone through real hardship to break down their own barriers in order to achieve their hopes and dreams through the means of learning. We also recognised various large and small Employers that have shown commitment to investing in education and training of it’s workforce; and Community Projects that demonstrate the role of education and skills as a key enabler for people to succeed. We also revealed our Inspire! Adult Learner of the Year which was presented to Laura Harris, Health and Wellbeing Award winner.

The Awards were hosted by BBC Broadcaster Sian Lloyd and attended by Julie James (Minister for Skills and Science), Leanne Wood (Leader of Plaid Cymru) and Rhianon Passmore (Labour AM).
