As you will know that Reforming Outcomes, A Review of Offender Education in Wales was published in March this year. The report contains a number of important findings and recommendations for government, government agencies, providers and the wider sector.
In order to continue the process of taking the recommendations forward we would like to invite you to attend an Offender Learning and Employability Stakeholder event:
Date
Friday, 26 July 2019
Time
9am – 3pm
Location
Future Inn Hotel, Cardiff – Directions
This will be an opportunity to bring stakeholders together to help shape plans and priorities for the sector and to continue the process of improving co-ordination between government, agencies, prisons, providers and the third sector.
An agenda for the day is to follow but please note the Minister for Education Kirsty Williams AM will attend part of the meeting. There will be presentations from Welsh Government officials, HMPPS, Careers Wales (on the new Working Wales service), input from the sector with evidence of best practice, and discussions about future research and development priorities.
I would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance by contacting Wendy Ellaway-Lock at Learning and Work Institute.
