Erasmus +Mobility Project

Building connections, reaching out and word of mouth

In October 2018 Learning and Work Institute embarked on an Erasmus + Key Action 1 Mobility Project, with the ambition of connecting with European partners to learn from each other in delivering learning festivals and building meaningful learner engagement in our advocacy work and promotional activities.

Our host partners were Aontas, in Ireland, Learn for Life in the Netherlands and the Slovenian Institute for Adult Education. Three study visits were planned for participants from the adult learning sector in Wales and for learners, drawn from Learning and Work network of Inspire! Award Winners.

Take a look at our case studies from the visits:

Ireland ERASMUS+ Mobility visit
Slovenia ERASMUS+ Mobility visit
Netherlands ERASMUS+ Mobility visit

An assessment of the impact of Adult Learners’ Week has shown that whilst there remains strong support for the campaign – there is a need to review the approach of national and local delivery methods and we used the study visits to explore ideas for new promotional methods.
